Ford Builds First Quadricycle

In a brick shed behind his rented Detroit house, the thirty-two-year-old Henry Ford ran a horseless carriage on four bicycle wheels out into the summer night. It needed a doorway widened to get out. He sold it for two hundred dollars to finance more experiments. Seven years later he would found the company that bore his name.
