Rohingya cleansed from Rakhine

Myanmar's military, citing insurgent attacks, began burning Rohingya villages and shooting fleeing Muslims in a systematic campaign across Rakhine State. Within weeks more than 700,000 had crossed into Bangladesh, walking through monsoon mud with what they could carry. The UN called it textbook ethnic cleansing.
