Beatles release White Album

November 1968

The Beatles released a sprawling thirty-song double album as Charles Manson was listening in Los Angeles, hearing messages in the tracks that would shortly lead him to order murders. The album documented a band unraveling into four solo careers under one cover. Pop's most famous group was a year away from breaking up.
