Roswell incident and UFO craze

A rancher in New Mexico found strange wreckage on his property. The Army Air Force first called it a flying disc, then said it was a weather balloon. Newspapers had already run with it. For the rest of the century the word Roswell would stand for the belief that something extraterrestrial had been recovered and covered up.
