Battle of the Saintes
April 12, 1782
In the Caribbean, Admiral Rodney broke the French line and captured de Grasse - the man whose fleet had sealed Yorktown. A brilliant tactical win that rescued British pride and the West Indian sugar islands, even as the American war drew to its close. Naval tactics were starting to prize disorder.
