A Turkish photographer captured the body of a three-year-old Syrian boy washed up face-down on a Bodrum shore, still wearing his red T-shirt and sneakers. His family had been trying to reach Greece. The image traveled in hours and briefly forced Europe to look at the refugees pouring out of Syria, until it stopped looking.
