Suleiman Occupies Buda

Suleiman the Magnificent formally annexed the Hungarian capital of Buda after tricking the child-king John Sigismund out of the citadel. Ottoman pashas would rule from the Danube hill for a hundred and forty-five years. Habsburg and Ottoman Hungary hardened into separate, bleeding provinces.
